Pravaham is a community development organization that serves rural Dalit and marginalized communities through education, health, and awareness programs. I developed and maintained its WordPress website to present the organization's mission, programs, and community initiatives while progressively improving its hosting, performance, and security throughout the project's lifecycle.

Pravaham is a community that was started in 1993 by the Rev. Ananda Rao Samuel who had a real passion for building a community that was all about peace and justice. They were based in the Palamathi Hills near Vellore in Tamil Nadu, and it was there that they worked tirelessly with the poor and marginalised Dalit communities to try and make their lives a bit better.

The main way that they went about this was through education, healthcare and raising awareness programs - getting out into the rural areas and making a real difference to peoples lives. I had the privilege of building and maintaining their WordPress website so that they could clearly communicate their mission and the amazing work they were doing. I had to do some improvement work along the way to keep the website running smoothly, which probably changed a bit as my own WordPress workflow improved over time too. Unfortunately the website is no longer live having been discontinued in 2023.
